The School of Teaching and Learning
The School of Teaching and Learning is home to four
undergraduate teacher preparation programs and three graduate programs. In
addition, students from every undergraduate teacher preparation program take
courses within our department. The School of Teaching and Learning takes great
pride in providing personal attention to students as our faculty prepares them
to take their place as teacher leaders in the nation's schools.
After a pause in the requirement, the state once again
requires all students to pass their licensure content test prior to student
teaching. Each test costs $122, and many of our students must take two or three different content tests depending upon
their individual licensure goals. Last year, students spent $46,970 on content
test costs. Students who are unable to afford this steep price tag may
have to delay student teaching and graduation.
Your gift to the School of Teaching and Learning will
help provide vouchers to students in order to offset the cost of their content
tests, thus keeping them on track along their path to licensure and their
preparation for the classroom.
Thank you for supporting our students and
participating in Birds Give Back!
