CHALLENGE UNLOCKED!
Dawn ‘87 & Al Pote are challenging 30 other people to
join them in support the Well-Being Initiatives Fund. Once 30 gifts have been
made, they’ll give $1,500 to the fund to support programs that create a caring
community for all Redbirds.
According to the Center for
Collegiate Mental Health’s 2022 Annual Report showed that of the students
seeking mental health services, 72.4% said the pandemic affected their mental
health and 66.7% said it affected feelings of loneliness and isolation.
This is only one of the reasons we
need your help to continue to foster a
campus culture that prioritizes mental wellness, ensuring that individuals in
our community have access to vital resources and support.
Your contribution will bolster our
well-utilized programs, such as Pawsitively Stress-Free, Redbird Well,
and Live Well with Eight at State as well as the expansive work of many departments on
campus focused on student well-being.
One area of focus is the expansion of peer-to-peer mentoring programs by
adding mental health and self-care topics to existing programs and the creation
of a peer-to-peer mentoring initiative.
Your gift to the Well-Being Initiatives Fund will
support initiatives that enhance the well-being of the Illinois State
University campus community. This fund specifically assists activities,
programs, education, operations, facilities, and equipment associated with mental
health.
Your participation and giving makes a difference in the life of a Redbird
Every gift matters and will help improve the mental health of students. Thank you for participating in Birds Give Back and supporting our Redbirds!
