A gift to Milner directly supports all students
Thousands of students use Milner Library each day. They rely on us for resources, instruction, and support as well as for accessible, comfortable places to study, learn, and collaborate. Milner also works hard to keep pace with the technology needs of our students with printing, copying, scanning, and our MakeIt@Milner maker resources such as 3-D printing. Additionally, Special Collections and University Archives work hard to preserve history and rare items so that our students have hands on experience with these unique resources, learning to use them in their research.
Designs are nearing completion for our Student Success Center on floor one. Slated to open in 2021, this space will serve as a highly interactive, service-focused, and technology rich campus hub for learning, research, and technology. Your gift to the Student Success Center will help Milner Library and campus partners create an innovative and collaborative center focused on student support and development.
Milner Library is committed to continuing the forward-thinking, proud tradition of service our namesake established. In honor of the university’s first librarian Ange V. Milner, we established a special campaign-only recognition called Ange’s Keepers for donors who give at least $1,000 during the Redbirds Rising campaign. Those who donate $1,000 or more between July 2013 and June 2020, will become a member of Ange’s Keepers and recognized in a permanent display in the library.
With your help, we can continue to be progressive so that Milner Library can continue to be an excellent resource for Illinois State University students, faculty, and staff for years to come.
