Fuel the Flock -- Support Redbird student-athlete nutrition!

Illinois State student-athletes constantly push themselves to their best in competition, in the classroom, and in the community.  That means long hours, short breaks, and a commitment to the process of pursuing greatness each day.  How do those student-athletes fuel their bodies to continue that pursuit?  What do they do after a workout, practice, or game to keep themselves in the best shape possible?  When they’re on the run between classes or after practice to make an exam, are they eating healthy and staying hydrated?  Over the last few years, we’ve made significant improvements in investing in strength and conditioning, athletic training and mental health for student-athletes. This week during Redbird Philanthropy Week, we continue that cycle by investing in student-athlete nutrition and performance.

Over the course of the week and on Birds Give Back, we will be raising as much money as we can to invest into student-athlete nutrition and performance. Gifts this week will be used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, drink dispensers, upgraded nutrition stations in Redbird Arena and in the Karen Bone study center, fridges for each team locker room, and boost the budget for food, drinks, and supplements to better care for the needs of our student-athletes.

A gift to Birds Give Back is a gift that ensures we continue to provide our student-athletes with the best possible means to achieve their goals while at Illinois State. Thank you for your help and investment so we can reach our goals!
